30-Day Return Window
You may request a return within 30 days of the delivery date. The 30-day return window begins on the date of the carrier's confirmed delivery scan, regardless of when the item is opened or reported received by the customer. Requests submitted after this window will not be eligible for return or refund.
To be eligible for a return, items must meet all of the following conditions:
- Unused, uninstalled, and in original condition
- Returned in original, undamaged packaging, sealed and resalable where applicable
- Include all accessories, documentation, hardware, and components originally provided
- Not marked as non-returnable, made-to-order, custom, or special-order on the product page

Restocking Fee
All approved customer-initiated returns are subject to a 15% restocking fee, which is deducted from the refund amount. This fee covers inspection, handling, and processing costs associated with returned merchandise.
The restocking fee does not apply if the return is due to a product that arrived damaged, defective, or incorrect through no fault of the customer.
Return Shipping Costs
Defective, Damaged, or Incorrect Items: If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, Smokeforges will provide a prepaid return shipping label and cover the return shipping cost at no charge to you.
Customer-Initiated Returns: If you wish to return an item due to a change of mind or ordering error, your request must be made within the 30-day return window and the item must meet all eligibility requirements outlined in this policy.
We do not provide prepaid return labels for customer remorse returns. The customer is responsible for all return shipping costs and coordinating freight. Smokeforges recommends using a trackable shipping method, as we are not responsible for returned packages lost in transit without tracking confirmation.
Made-to-order, custom, or special-order products are not eligible for return because they are produced specifically for each customer. These exclusions are disclosed on the applicable product pages prior to purchase. Customers are responsible for reviewing product details, specifications, dimensions, and order accuracy before completing their purchase.
Cancellations
If you need to cancel an order, please contact Smokeforges as soon as possible to help avoid return shipping costs.
- Orders canceled within 48 hours of placement and before shipment are eligible for a full refund with no cancellation fee.
- Orders canceled more than 48 hours after placement and before shipment are subject to a $40 administrative cancellation fee, which will be deducted from the refund.
- If your item is on backorder and you cancel before it ships, the $40 administrative fee may be waived depending on order status.
- Orders canceled after shipment will be processed in accordance with this Return & Refund Policy and will be subject to applicable return shipping costs and the 15% restocking fee.
Damages
If your order arrives with visible damage, please take the following steps immediately:
- Note the damage on the carrier's delivery paperwork before signing.
- Take clear photos of all 6 sides of the outer packaging and the damaged product before moving or unpacking the item.
- Email info@smokeforges.com within 48 hours of delivery with your order number and photos.
- Retain all original packaging and materials until your claim has been fully resolved.
All damaged item claims must be authorized by our customer service team before a return or replacement is processed. Items that become damaged after use or installation are not eligible for return or refund, except as specifically covered under an applicable manufacturer or product warranty.

Return Merchandise Authorization: To initiate a return, you must first contact us to receive a return authorization number and the correct manufacturer warehouse address for your specific item. Do not ship any item back without return authorization. Unauthorized returns will not be accepted.

Return Address: Return shipping addresses are provided by our team in your return authorization email and vary by manufacturer warehouse. Our Newport Beach, CA office is for correspondence only. Please do not ship products or freight to this address.

Pack Your Item: Securely repackage the item in its original packaging with all included parts, accessories, and documentation.

Ship the Return: Use the carrier and shipping method outlined in your return authorization email. We recommend a trackable shipping method. Smokeforges is not responsible for packages lost in return transit.
Refund Processing

Inspection: All returned items are inspected upon arrival to verify condition and completeness.

Refund Method: Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method used at checkout. At your request, we may issue store credit for the approved refund amount.

Processing Time: Refunds are processed after the returned item is received and inspected. Refunds are typically processed within up to 7 business days after inspection is complete. Your bank or payment provider may take additional time to post the credit to your account.
Refund Denial
Returns may be denied if an item fails our inspection process. Grounds for denial include but are not limited to:
- Item shows signs of use, installation, or wear
- Item is missing parts, accessories, hardware, or original packaging
- Damage appears to have occurred after delivery due to customer handling
- Return was shipped without authorized return approval
- Return request was submitted outside the 30-day window
If a return is denied after inspection, the item will be returned to the customer at their expense. Smokeforges may charge the customer for return shipping of a denied return.
Exchanges
We do not offer exchanges for customer remorse. If a product arrives defective or damaged, please contact info@smokeforges.com within the 30-day return window with your order number and photos of the issue. Our support team will assist with a replacement or resolution, subject to product availability.
Warranty Claims
Some products sold by Smokeforges may be covered by a manufacturer's warranty. If you believe your item has a warranty-eligible defect, please contact us first at info@smokeforges.com before reaching out to the manufacturer directly. Our team can help determine whether your issue may qualify as a warranty claim and guide you through the appropriate process.
Items damaged through normal wear and tear, misuse, improper installation, or failure to follow manufacturer instructions are not covered under warranty and are not eligible for return or refund through Smokeforges.
Return Policy Abuse
Smokeforges reserves the right to refuse returns in cases involving suspected fraud, abuse of the policy, or repeated excessive return activity. This policy exists to protect our business and our customers from abuse that would otherwise increase costs for everyone.
Non-Returnable Items
Some products may be marked as non-returnable due to safety, hygiene, customization, or made-to-order factors. These exclusions are clearly stated on the applicable product pages prior to purchase. Non-returnable items include but are not limited to:
- Made-to-order and custom-configured products
- Special-order items not part of standard inventory
- Items explicitly marked as final sale on the product page
Brand-Specific Return Terms
Certain manufacturers we partner with apply return terms that differ from our standard policy above. Where a brand-specific term applies, it is outlined below. All other terms in this policy continue to apply, and all returns must be authorized by our team before any item is shipped back.
Ohio Flame Product Returns
- Returns are accepted only for items that arrive damaged, defective, or incorrect.
- Change-of-mind returns may be considered only if the item is new, unused, and resalable with all original packaging, paperwork, and parts, and only with prior authorization.
- Return shipping on change-of-mind returns is the responsibility of the customer.
- Contact us before sending any item back so we can confirm eligibility.
Tagwood BBQ Product Returns
- Return requests must be made within 15 days of the delivery date.
- Items must be unused and in excellent condition, with no scratches, dents, or broken or missing parts.
- Items must be returned in original packaging: the original box if purchased disassembled, or a wooden crate if purchased assembled.
- Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method, less the original shipping cost, return shipping cost, a 10% restocking fee, and a 5% processing fee.
- Order cancellations before shipping are subject to a 5% cancellation fee charged by the payment processor. If shipping has already been confirmed with the freight company, the shipping cost is also deducted.
- Accessories are non-returnable and non-refundable, as they are made exclusively for Tagwood BBQ products.
Arteflame Product Returns
- Return requests must be made within 14 days of purchase.
- Items must be new, unused, unassembled, and resalable in their original, unopened packaging.
- Eligible refunds are issued less shipping costs. Used items cannot be returned.
- Items returned not in sellable condition may receive a partial refund or be subject to a 35% refinishing fee.
- Promotional, sale, discounted, or coupon-code orders are final sale and not eligible for return or exchange.
- For orders with free or flat-rate shipping, the actual shipping cost or flat-rate difference is deducted from the refund. Refused or post-shipment-canceled orders are refunded less all shipping charges.
- After 14 days, returns may be considered on a case-by-case basis and may be subject to a restocking fee.
Kokomo Grills Product Returns
- Return requests must be made within 30 days of the original purchase date.
- Items must be unused, in original re-salable condition, and in their original unopened packaging.
- Approved refunds are issued less a 30% restocking fee and all shipping charges incurred.
- Return shipping is the responsibility of the customer.
- Manufactured-to-order items, floor models, and dent-and-scratch items are final sale and not returnable.
- Items not meeting return condition requirements will be refused or returned to the customer at their expense.
Governing Terms
This Return & Refund Policy works alongside our Terms of Service. If there is a conflict between the two policies, the Terms of Service will apply where permitted by applicable law.
