Shipping policy
At Smokeforges, our goal is to keep the ordering and delivery process clear, predictable, and transparent. This policy explains how orders are processed, shipped, and delivered so you know exactly what to expect after placing an order with us.
Shipping Costs & Sales Tax
Free shipping is available on orders of $99+ or more.
Orders under $99 are subject to a flat-rate shipping charge of $6.95, which is calculated and displayed at checkout.
Smokeforges collects sales tax on orders shipped to states where we are required to do so under applicable law.
At this time, sales tax is applied to orders shipped to California, based on our current business operations. Applicable tax amounts are calculated and displayed during checkout.
Sales tax requirements may change in accordance with state and local regulations.
Shipping Locations
Smokeforges currently ships to addresses within the lower 48 United States only. We do not ship internationally or to Alaska, Hawaii, or U.S. territories at this time. No P.O. Box Allowed.
Order Processing & Delivery Overview
Shipping and delivery times vary depending on product availability and order type.
For in-stock products, the standard timeline is:

For Ohio Flame Artisan Collection (made-to-order products), the standard timeline is:

Lead Time: Up to 10 business days (approximately 2 weeks) before shipment

Delivery estimates are provided for reference only and are not guaranteed.
Order Cutoff & Handling Time
Orders placed before 1:00 PM (PST), Monday–Friday, are typically submitted for processing the same business day. Orders placed after this time, on weekends, or on holidays are processed the next business day.
Standard handling time is 1–3 business days, unless a different production or lead time is clearly stated on the product page.
Order Confirmation
After placing your order, you will receive an order confirmation email. This confirms that your payment method has been authorized and your order is being prepared for fulfillment.
Once your order is received, our team confirms availability with our warehouse.
If your item is in stock, your order is submitted for shipment.
If your item is on backorder or unavailable, we will notify you by email with expected arrival timelines and available options.
Order Shipment
If your order is in stock and payment is approved, it will typically ship within 1–3 business days from the order date.
Tracking information is sent to the email address provided at checkout within 24 hours of shipment.
Smokeforges ships via trusted carriers, including:

Freight (LTL) carriers for large or heavy items
Most standard orders submitted before the cutoff time ship the same business day, though some parts and freight orders may ship the following business day.
Freight (LTL) Deliveries
Large and heavy items may ship via freight LTL service.
When the shipment reaches your local delivery terminal, the freight carrier will contact you to schedule a delivery appointment.
Delivery appointments are scheduled Monday–Friday.
Delivery windows are typically 8:00 AM–12:00 PM or 12:00 PM–4:00 PM.
Fixed delivery times cannot be scheduled.
Freight deliveries are curbside or driveway placement only and are made using a lift-gate truck with one delivery person.
A valid phone number is required at checkout. Missed appointments, failed delivery attempts, re-delivery, or storage fees charged by the carrier are the responsibility of the customer.
Backorders
If an item becomes unavailable after your order is placed, you will receive an email notification with the estimated restock timeline and available alternatives.
Backorder arrival dates may change due to manufacturing delays, port congestion, or supply chain disruptions.
You may choose to:

Keep the order active

Substitute for a different product

Cancel the order prior to shipment
Once a backordered item becomes available, you will receive an estimated ship date and tracking information within 1–3 business days of shipment. See our Backorder Policy for more details.
Tracking Your Order
Once your order ships, a tracking number will be sent by email. You can monitor your shipment directly through the carrier’s website.
Damages
Please inspect the packaging and product at the time of delivery.
If damage is visible, note it on the carrier’s delivery paperwork before signing and take clear photos of both the packaging and the product.
Email info@smokeforges.com the same day of delivery with your order number and photos so we can assist with an insurance or warranty claim.
If damage is discovered after delivery, contents must be inspected and reported within 48 hours.
Items damaged after use or installation are not eligible for replacement or refund except as covered under an applicable manufacturer warranty.
Delivery Exceptions & Refused Shipments
If packaging shows excessive damage and the product is visibly exposed, you may refuse the shipment.
Take photos of the delivery.
Mark the carrier paperwork as “Carton damaged and refused.”

Cancellations & Refunds
All canceled orders are subject to a $40 administrative fee, which covers processing and personnel costs.
If your item is on backorder and you cancel before the product ships, the administrative fee may be waived.
If an order has already shipped, the customer is responsible for actual return shipping costs. Refunds are issued only to the original payment method used at checkout and are subject to inspection and any applicable restocking fees outlined in our Return & Refund Policy.
Delivery Responsibility & Surcharges
Missed freight appointments, re-delivery attempts, storage fees, address changes, or location-based carrier surcharges are the responsibility of the customer. These fees fall outside standard shipping coverage and are not reimbursable by Smokeforges.
