Carry the Fire on the Outside of the Rig

Interior space is the most expensive real estate in any build. The R1 Rally Mount moves the campfire out of it. This is a low-profile aluminum mounting plate that locks the Howl R1 onto a van box, roof rack, ladder, Molle panel, bedrail, or anything else you can run quarter-inch bolts through, then holds it there over washboard, gravel, and highway miles.

This is an accessory. It is a mounting plate for the Howl R1 Campfire and does not include a fire pit.

Machined Where It Counts

The plate is 3/16-inch aluminum finished in a black crinkle powder coat that hides scuffs from gear traffic. The retention hardware is the part that earns its keep: a CNC machined plunge pin assembly with a custom-machined anodized Howl plunger knob, redesigned to run heavier than the original. Pull the pin, lift the R1 out, drop it back in, and push the pin home.

Lockable Plunge PinThe pin accepts the included cable lock, adding a layer of deterrence when the rig sits at a trailhead or a hotel lot.
Low Profile FootprintAt just over two inches deep, the plate sits close to the mounting surface and stays out of the way of doors, racks, and other gear.
Universal Bolt PatternRuns on quarter-inch bolts, so the mount adapts to a wide range of racks, panels, and bed rails.
Three Pounds TotalLight enough that it does not meaningfully change your rack load or your rooftop math.

Mounting hardware is left out on purpose. Every surface a Rally Mount lands on has a different thickness and backing, so you select bolt length and backing hardware for your specific application.

Safety notice: never ignite your Howl while it is mounted to a vehicle. Remove the R1 from the Rally Mount and set it on stable ground before lighting. Review the R1 manual for complete safety information.
