The Tagwood BBQ25SS is the built-in counterpart to the freestanding BBQ23SS — the same XL cooking platform designed for permanent drop-in installation into a non-combustible outdoor kitchen enclosure. The entire grill is constructed from 304 stainless steel, and unlike the freestanding version, this unit ships without a cart, casters, or side table — it is the cooking system only, built to sit within a custom-built surround.
The grill provides 1,117 sq. in. of total cooking area across three zones. The primary surface is a 34" x 26.5" main grate controlled by a wheel-operated Santa Maria elevation system with approximately 20 inches of height adjustment range. This degree of travel gives the operator significant temperature control — the grate can be positioned just above the coal bed for high-heat searing or raised to its maximum height for slow, indirect cooking over several hours. The elevation wheel ships in a right-side configuration as standard, with a frontal elevation option available for kitchen layouts where side access is limited by adjacent cabinetry or walls.
A 24" x 9" secondary grate sits above the firebox at an independent height, operating as a separate cooking zone. This placement directly over the coal-building area makes it the highest-heat position on the grill — useful for items that need close-proximity radiant heat. An interchangeable griddle is also included and can be swapped into the main grate position for flat-surface cooking.
S-shape meat hooks mount on support bars above the cooking area for vertical hanging. The firebox is lined with firebricks along the bottom and interior walls, which reduces outward heat transfer into the surrounding enclosure structure — an important factor for built-in installations where the grill is enclosed by masonry, stone, or concrete. The firebox includes a front-access door for fuel management and a bottom drain to prevent water accumulation.
