The Beast XL in black steel
The BBQ12SI is the Beast XL with a heavy-duty cold-rolled steel structure in place of stainless: the same 110.5" tall cooking tower and the same range of cooking surfaces, with every part that touches food made from 304 stainless steel.
01 · Structure
Built heavy, finished black
The 962 lb cold-rolled steel frame stands 110.5" tall and carries the canopy, the cooking chamber and a lower shelf for firewood. Grates, clamp grill, warming rack, griddle and hooks are all 304 stainless steel, so the surfaces you cook on stay stainless.
02 · Brasero, elevation and access
Fire control from front and back
Wood or charcoal burns down in the integrated brasero, and you stage the embers under the main grate. The elevation wheel moves the grate from 1.5" to 12.5" above the coals, and front and rear access doors let you tend the fire from either side.
03 · Cooking zones
One fire, several ways to cook
A 360 degree rotating clamp grill turns whole cuts beside the fire, a secondary grate sits above the firebox for searing, and a two-level warming rack (11.5" x 40") with S-hooks holds food in the rising heat. Sear, roast and keep warm at the same time.
