Tagwood BBQ BBQ28SS Built-In Argentine Grill – 304 Stainless Steel

Tagwood BBQ BBQ28SS Built-In Argentine Grill – 304 Stainless Steel

Tagwood BBQ · BBQ28SS

The full XL fire kitchen, built into your island

The BBQ28SS is the built-in counterpart to Tagwood's freestanding XL grills: a 304 stainless steel body that sets into a Tagwood base cabinet or your own outdoor kitchen, with a brasero, a wheel-adjustable main grate, a 360 degree clamp grill and a roof grill. Five cooking zones, 2,600 sq. in. of surface.

01 · Built-in installation

Made to become part of the kitchen

The grill body measures 34" high, 73.5" wide with the clamp grill and 33" deep, and drops into a Tagwood base cabinet or a custom island. Tagwood's installation guide calls for a level, heat-resistant base lined with firebricks and a centered drain hole for the grill's drainage system.

02 · Brasero and firebricks

Fire kept apart, heat kept in

The gaucho-style brasero lights wood or charcoal quickly and keeps the flames separate from the food. Firebrick-lined walls and base hold the heat, spread it evenly under the grates and limit how much reaches the cabinet around it.

03 · Elevation system

The deep grate, on a wheel

Turn the wheel and the 33.75" x 26.75" main grate travels from 2.5" to 20" above the coals. On a grill this deep, that range lets you sear at the front of the fire and slow-cook a full load without rearranging anything.

Elevation system: Right side vs Frontal

Right side (standard)The wheel sits on the right end of the grill, and you set a manual lock to hold the grate at the height you want (turn the wheel counterclockwise for the lock to engage). Works well when the island leaves open space at the grill's right end, so the wheel turns freely and you can stand beside it.
Frontal elevationThe wheel moves to the front of the grill, facing the cook, and an internal lock holds the grate automatically the moment you stop turning. Choose it when counters, a wall or masonry close in the grill's right side, so every control is worked from the front of the island.

Both layouts raise and lower the same grate through the same range. Tagwood does not publish a separate clearance figure for the wheel; its installation guide asks you to allow sufficient clearance for crank wheel movement, so plan open space where the wheel sits and follow the BBQ28SS installation guide.

04 · 360 degree clamp grill

The asador at your counter

The 23" x 23.5" clamp grill holds racks of ribs or a butterflied lamb between stainless grids and rotates 360 degrees beside the brasero, so each side gets its turn facing the fire.

05 · Five cooking zones

Everything ready at the same moment

Alongside the main grate and clamp grill you have a 9" x 23.75" height-adjustable secondary grate over the brasero, an interchangeable griddle, a 26" x 16.25" fixed grill and a 33.75" x 26.75" roof grill that keeps finished food warm. Seafood, steaks and sides all come off together.
