Kamado Joe makes ceramic charcoal grills that smoke low-and-slow, sear hot, and bake, all in one cooker. Pick by size first. Joe Jr (13.5 in) is portable. Classic Joe (18 in, 250 sq. in.) fits most families. Big Joe (24 in, 450 sq. in.) is for big gatherings. Then choose a version: the Series III models add the SlōRoller smoking insert and a 3-tier cooking system, and the Konnected Joe adds automatic ignition and app-controlled temperature.

Should I get the Classic Joe (18 inch) or the Big Joe (24 inch)?

The Classic Joe has 250 sq. in. of cooking space and suits most families. The Big Joe has 450 sq. in. for large gatherings, whole briskets and cooking several dishes at once, but it's much heavier: the Big Joe III with cart is listed at 406.3 lb, versus 280.6 lb for the Classic Joe III.

What's the difference between Classic Joe II and Classic Joe III?

Both are 18-inch ceramic grills with 250 sq. in. of cooking space. The Classic Joe III adds the Series III features: the SlōRoller smoking insert, the 3-tier version of the Divide & Conquer cooking system, and a stainless charcoal basket. Compare the two product pages for what's included with each version.

What does standalone mean?

Standalone versions are the ceramic grill without the rolling cart, intended for a table or an outdoor-kitchen build. Check the product page for exactly what's included.

How hot does a Kamado Joe get?

The Classic Joe III and Big Joe III product specs list a 225–750°F heat range, covering low-and-slow smoking up to high-heat searing and pizza.
